She is passionate about the idea that, with the right tools, leaders can create the working conditions that allow their people to be productive and thrive. To do this, she translates cutting edge psychological research into sessions on what managers can do to create more inclusive and engaged workplaces, to manage for more agile ways of working, and to collaborate to unlock innovative thinking, among others.

A globally recognised scholar, O'Connor's best known scientific research focuses on how to improve team performance and what helps negotiators reach better quality deals. Recent work explores unconscious bias and how it drives managerial decisions and actions. Over the years, her research has been honoured by awards from leading research organisations, including the Academy of Management and the International Association for Conflict Management.
